Agenda-Circular-initiative

Welcome to Circular Initiative 2020

TIME: 09:00-11:30

MODERATOR: Eva Hamilton

A panel consisting of industry leaders and experts will comment on the different topics throughout the agenda. Also joining us for some insights is Jacob Wallenberg, Investor AB’s Chair, for a discussion led by Eva Hamilton.

Stena Recycling welcomes you with a short presentation of Stena Recycling and of the purpose and goal with this forum.

The introduction will be followed by case stories and discussions together with our Circular Partners Electrolux, Stora Enso, ABB and Combitech:

  • On the journey towards becoming fully circular, Louise Eriksson Circular Design Specialist, Stena Recycling Sweden and Jens Leffler, Sustainability Lead Wellbeing Electrolux AB.

Thanks to innovative collaboration, Electrolux can present the first vacuum cleaner built on 100% postconsumer plastic and re-used components. The journey began at last year’s event when Electrolux and Stena Recycling embarked on this groundbreaking project.

  • VersaLime – from waste to a product, Noel Morrin, Executive Vice President, Sustainability at Stora Enso

VersaLime is a recycled mineral that can make products more circular and reduce their carbon footprint.

  • Our way forward, Ulf Hellström, Business Area Manager for ABB Motion in Sweden.

ABBs goal is to help the industry save energy by supplying energy-efficient motors, while also ensuring that the materials of the old motors are recycled by collaborating with Stena Recycling.

Digital transformation and innovation for Circular material flows, Robin Teigland, Professor of Strategy, Management of Digitalization, in the Entrepreneurship and Strategy Division at Chalmers.

Traditional supply chains and linear “take-make-waste” models may give way to more sustainable and circular economic models. In order to survive and maintain competitive advantage in this time of unparalleled change, everyone must take a long-term perspective and rethink how to work with strategy and how we organize our companies, organizations and society.
